We are a family of 9, 17yrs to 60, we like more natural area, on the beach but also with shops 7 restuarant available to us, we thought of Hikkaduwa but just read ur reveiw, can you suggest somewhere else for us to look into.

Hi Kerry,
Hmmm... Hikkaduwa can indeed be a bit crowded and noisy. Two other areas maybe better suit the needs, because there the hotels are a lot further away from the busy main road: Unawatuna and Bentota. U'tuna has lots of boutique guesthouses and two star-class hotels; Bentota has a wider star-class choice. For Bentota, the closer they are to the peninsula (or even on it, like Ceysands) the further from the main road. All the best, <Erik> & [Sandya]
