| Manchester | On Line Check-in Posted: Fri June 29, 2007 12:56 PM UTC
Hi
Leaving Manchester Airport for Hong Kong and then on to Sydney via Cathay Pacific mid-Aug. Has anyone used the on-line check in on the Net? Just a bit dubious about it at the mo! So used to the old tickets-through-post and check in at a desk malarky (so stuck in my ways!). I understand we get e-tickets this time as well. Ta Kaz |

There is nothing to be worried about, just check in on line, print off the check in details and then take that with your bags to the drop off point (it will tell you where to go)
So easy and hassle free compared to standing in line for eternity.

Did it for a trip to New York an few weeks ago, and like you I was a bit apprehensive. But it worked a dream.
On the BA website it tells you that you can only check in on line 24 hours before. I was trying 24 hours 2 minutes before and it wouldn't let me, then exactly on the hour, I could check in, and view my seats, and cjange them if necessary, which I did. Once done I printed the tickets out and took them with me. At the other end for the return, I had to find an internet cafe in New York which was surprisingly difficult, but I did the same again, but they had no printer. I just told the check in lady that i had no ticket and there was no problem. Waltzed past the long queue for conventional check-ins. Do it-no problem.
