does anyone know how we can get train tickets here in the uk i have tried all sorts of web sites with no luck only a couple of tour companys wanting stupid prices. if anyone can help i would be gratful.

Hey! When are you going? It is okay to buy the tickets from the station when you get there. I always do, and have no problems with it. I usually buy tickets one day in advance.

I agree; I don't think you can buy them in advance on your own, but it's easy to get them once you're in the country. Also, there are numerous trains between Aswan and Luxor, so even if it's busy for some reason, you should still have no problems. Have fun!
