Provincia de Buenos Aires Transportation from EZE airport to AEP airport
Posted: Wed June 27, 2007 11:37 PM UTC
I'm planning to ski Bariloche in August. It'll be my first time in Argentina, though I'm not a stranger to international travel other places. Naturally, my flight into the country lands at EZE, but then the flight to Bariloche leaves from AEP. What's my best bet (American with VERY limited Spanish -- enough to stumble my way through a basic transaction, I think, if I can get you to be patient and speak slowly to me) for getting myself from EZE to AEP? Although I haven't decided for certain if I'll take them, assume that I'm going to have my 185 cm skis with me. Once I clear customs and all, where should I be going to get transportation to AEP? What should I be looking for? Expected cost and duration of drive?

Thanks for any help!

HEllo, EZE and the "Aeroparque" wich is the place from where you'll leave to Bariloche is about '45 by car. I think you can ask in Ezeiza for a "Remis", wich is some kind of cab, but you pre arrange the cost of your travel. You can also get a cab too, you wont have problem with cab but I suggest you to take a "Remis" so you dont get a surprise when the cab driver tells you the price of the travel.
I Hope you have fun,
See you

You can book a flat rate taxi from EZE to AEP. Once you leave the customs area and enter the arrivals hall their is a kiosk in the center with a huge taxi sign over it. They do understand English and you just tell them where you are going and they will tell you the price and assign you a driver. You can also book a remise, which will cost about 80 $Arg. just before you exit customs on the right will be offices where you can book a remise. Plan on 30 to 40 mins travel time.

Hi! We just returned from 3 weeks in AR and we had to do the same thing you are doing, only we went to Iguazu Falls in northern AR. We arrived at EZE at 8:05 in the morning and traveled to Aeroparque, or Jorge Newberry, for a 12:30 flight. We made it in plenty of time.
We used Barts.com (a pre-arranged remise), and I would caution you NOT to use them. We paid more than twice the fare it would have cost us if we had simply taken a taxi(they claimed they had to park and wait for us so we had to pay their bogus $25 parking fee). It will be about a US$20 cab ride. Make sure the driver turns on the meter. There will be lots and lots of taxis waiting for fares, too.

You can just take the Remis at EZE, not prearrange and:

1) You won't have any problem at all
2) You'll know in advance how much you'll pay

take the Remis.

In addtion to the remis and taxi to Aeroparque, there is a dedicated shuttle service provided by Manuel Tienda Leon www.tiendaleon.com.ar. The shuttles depart every hour between the two airports. The cost is 30 pesos for a one way ticket. You can purchase the tickets at their kioski in the arrival area as soon as you leave baggage clain/customs.

The travel time should be approx 1 hour between the two airports.
Enjoy!!

Thanks again to all. My wife will be with me, so I assume the shuttle would charge us both, which sounds like it would then begin to approach the same cost a taxi or remisse. Plus, I'm guessing a potentially crowded shuttle might have more difficulty accommodating my skis than would perhaps be the case with transportation for us alone. So it's sounding like maybe the best bet will be taxi or remisse, though making sure *not* to fall into that barts.com trap mentioned above and getting whacked with a parking fee. (Thanks much for that tip.)
