I will be in Taormina in October and would like to book a tour to Mt Etna. Not nessecarily to the top. I have not been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Did a tour last year & booked the day before while staying at GiardiniNaxos (if you wish check my Sicily page). I'm sure that there will be many places in Taormina offering similar.

Hi Paula,

You should see the top if you’re going to climb Etna  ! We did it last September and we enjoy every second of it. We stayed in Letojanni in a B&B ( Casa Famiani at http://www.casafamiani.it/uk/home.shtm ) close to the beach, and the owner explained us how to reach Etna by car. But you also have the possibility to go by bus. In both cases you’ll reach a big parking and from there, for 45 euros’ you could go on the top and see everything as close you can get safely, with a guide who’s going to walk with you keeping you on the safe side.
In the other hand you could stay in Catania and let them pick you up with an off road car so that you’ll do everything on your own time.

Here you have some useful links:

Enjoy your Sicilian holiday,

Laura

Hi Paula,
I agree with the member who says you should go to the top. Awesome!!!!
Anyway, most hotel concierge desks in Taormina will happily book you on a tour
to Etna.
