Aruba Travel Forum

I have been looking at the weather for Aruba, and it doesn't look too good! We're leaving for Aruba on June 29th and staying for a full week, but weather.com says it's gonna be partly cloudy and possible rain!!! Oh no!!! Is this weather common for this time of year? Will the clouds and rain pass thru quickly each day? I really hope we don't spend a week with crummy weather.....

I haven't been to Aruba but I have been all through the Carribean and many other tropical areas. More than likely the rain will come and go quickly. Don't worry, you will be in frickin' ARUBA! It's definitely going to be better than hanging out with a bunch of Baltimorons in Fells Point, the Inner Harbor, Annapolis, Ocean City, Dewey Beach, or godforsaken Sandy Point. Yeah, I am from Maryland. No offense, just joking around. A rainy day in Aruba will be better than a sunny day at work. If you are quoting Pink Floyd I am sure you can find some fun in the rain, perhaps a beach bar? Odds of it raining the whole time are not very high.

I used to hate rain when I lived in Maryland and DC because it was usually cold and miserable, but now that I live in Thailand I find it relaxing and a break from the heat and sun. Stay positive and take your sunscreen, you will need it.

I think if you monitor weather.com forecasts for just about any Caribbean country it will predict rain almost every day of the year. I think they figure it's bound to rain somewhere in the country for at least a bit and odds are they're right. But it'll probably only rain for about 20 minutes sometime between 3:00 and 5:00. The rest of the day will likely be very nice. Have fun!

Thank you all for your reply!!! Last year a group of 8 of us went to the Bahamas for a week, and it was COLD and rained the whole time!! Boo hoo!!! We still drank well worth our $$$$ in beer on this all-inclusive trip, but we're hoping this time the weather is in our favor! Thanks! I have a much better outlook on the trip now!
