Hi,

I am travelling to Basel next month with a camper car whoch is 3 meters high and cannot fit in any of underground parkings that are listed all over the Internet. However, I couldn't find any parking places that are above the ground so that the height of my car wouldn't be an issue.

Parking outside the city of outside the center of the city is not an option due to lack of time planned for this city.
Maybe someone could list me a few parking places that could fit me?

What about parking on the strets, not in the parking places?

There are parking spaces in Basel city center, but they are rare and most are "blue - lined", meaning, parking time is limited (1 hour or so). Of course you can try - you may be lucky. Parking outsode the spaces is NOT a good idea, our police loves giving tickets to wrong parking cars.
If I was you, i would try the parking place at St.Jakob, that is not in the centre, but you can reach it by tram (Nr.14) in less than 20 minutes.
St. Jakob is the sport arena and has open parking spaces.

The parking next to the zoo should be OK and not far from it (direction city center) is another one. But if you say that your camper is 3 m high I assume it has an excessive length as well. I so non of the parkings would be suitable since they have car size. Opposite the zoo is a road (going uphill) that offers bus parking but I doubt if you would be accepted as bus there.

Public transport (in particular the tram network) is excellent in Basel and if you would park with 5 km of the city center you would be in town in now time. The Dreispitz area has a shopping center where you might get a place large enough or as proposed already the St. Jakob (yet there are some trees around that migth be an issue)

For future readers (because the poster sure was there by now). The parking around the Zoo is ok ... if the weather is bad. At good weather and all the more around weekends you can just forget to find a place there.
