Vermont Buying ski clothing near Smugglers Notch
Posted: Wed June 20, 2007 07:41 PM UTC
Hi

Im going to be in Smugglers Notch for a week this September, and then have a ski trip planned for Colorado next April.

Now I need to buy a new ski suit as mine is somewhat aged (along with me!), and was thinking of buying one when im in Vermont. Are there are recommended places to go and buy one, and are they reasonably priced at that time of year??

Thanks in advance

Depending where you and how you are coming to Smuggler's Notch. If by car, stop in Burlington or South Burlington at the sport shops. If you find any shops in the Smuggler's Notch area, they will be very high priced. I am from that town. (Cambridge - Jeffersonville, Vt) so I know it quite well. The area is very rural and is 25 miles or so from the Airport in So Burlington. There were no clothes shops there a year or 2 ago. There may be some shops now at the Village at S.N., but as I said, stock would be limited and expensive. Another option is to drive over the notch (Rt 108 south) to Stowe and there is lots of ski shops over there. But watch the weather, because the notch road will be closed if they get any early snow up there. It is a long drive around if it snows while you are over in Stowe.
