Has anyone been to see the tidal wave in Hopewell Cave? Is it worth visiting?

Hi Cool Gracie,
Your questions indicate a trip to the Maritime provinces here in Atlantic canada....you say you have been to truro but not teh others. Will you be travelling by car and if so, how long do you have? despite looking small on teh map, it takes quite a while to get to and from the places you have mentioned in your posts.
I can answer the one about Hopewell Rocks...it is a spectacular spot to visit, provided you time it right. Ideally, you should visit both at low tide (when you can wlk on teh sea floor among teh gigantic flower pot stacks) and then come back at high tide (5 or 6 hours later) to see the same area now under 40 feet of water. It is amazing...but many tourists don't realize what they are seeing. if, for example, you only go at high tide, you lose the entire effect...if you only see it at low tide , while it is very beautiful, you never realize the power of the Bay of Fundy Tides. In between you can drive into the little seaside town of Alma and try the best Sticky Buns in the world (well, they are pretty darned good!) from the bakery there. Or hike in Fundy National Park, or visit Cape Enrage, the light house point where you can do some rapelling or find fossils on the beach. This is a great corner of the world! Hope you enjoy it.

definitely worth it. As mentioned previously, you should try to go at both high tides and low tides to see the difference.

Oh, it's definitely worth it but visit twice so you get the full effect. I went in the morning when it was high tide and thought it was just ok. Then I made a day trip to St. John and by the time I got back, it was low tide. WOW, when you get to walk on the ocean floor, you really experience the full effect. Your ticket is good for 24 hours so hang onto it. And make sure you check the tide tables here:
