I am a member of a historical re-creation society, and I am seeking information of my "hometown". In the Society, I am an 11th Century Russian from the village of Beloozero. Other than small references in old historical texts (e.g. Povest' Vremennykh Let), I can find no references of Beloozero. Any assistance will be most appreciated.

What does that mean: "11th Century Russian"? Did you know all you relatives beg. with 11 c.? LOL!
I'll look for some info for you. I was in Beloozero about 8 years ago - fantastic nature really.

First information - village Beloozero in Tulskaya oblast' (which is this forum about) has no direct relation to the Beloozero from Povest' Vremennyh Let and the place I visited 8 y. ago [:-0] Town Beloozero (White lake) from ancient chronicles is called now Belozersk (VT spelling), that is at the north in Vologotskaya oblast'.
