hi frnds,
thanks for the info...well..my programme is finalised...i will be heading in montyh of august...i would like to have some more info....first,whats the currency used there....will euro suffice or i need to buy NOK....if NOK os reqd then i will prefer to buy NOK directly rather then converting indian currency to euro and then to NOK....secondly....what clothing material and sports wear u suggest for the trip....thirdly...can u guide me about some other place in europe nearby where i can travel in cheap for some days after my trip to tromso is over.... hope these questions r enough trouble to u.... thanks and take care.... mooooaaahhh to all. kany. |

Norway isn't part of the European Union - so no Euro!;o) You'll need Norwegian Kroner.
The weather varies a lot this far north - be prepared for temperatures between ca 5 and ca 20 C - but August should normally still be quite summery - see www.met.no for weather statistics. You'll need to at least bring a light (waterproof?) jacket and a sweater - but you might also get nice, sunny and warmish weather... :o)
