Hi Anne,
what exactly are you looking for, jewelry shops selling exclusive brands or those making their own jewelry? Nittel is the biggest in terms of selling well known brands and in addition having a studio/workshop of their own: http://www.nittel.de/ (only in German, but you might get an impression) A goldsmith in the third generation, working with the best known precious metals separating works (also in the third generation) and jewel merchants is Lechler. We had our wedding rings made there, we decided on the design, the diamonds, the shape and everything and were very well consulted and are still very happy with the rings. http://www.lechlers.de/start.php Besides, the "jewelry city and goldsmith city" in Germany is Pforzheim, not too far from Freiburg.
