Ocean Water Temperature

Which months is the water warm enough to go swimming? Thanks.

for me, the water of the Atlantic ocean is too cold even in August/September... but it depends on what are you used to. I know some people who swims near Cadiz virtually all year round!

The warmer month to go swiming are from end June, July and August and the beginigns of September. This talking about mediterranean sea, the others are colder and some times you can't swim there because they are too cold even in August. I went with some friends to Tarifa in the south south of Spain in Andalucía region and we couldn't swim any day because the water was too cold! I didn't know it because I'm used to the mediterranean sea. So only in the mediterranen sea this months are good for swim, for the rest of the seas, oceans of Spain there isn't any good month too swim althought August will be always the hottest month.
