| Cadiz | Zahara de las Atunes, Zahora, or Canos de Meca? Posted: Wed June 13, 2007 10:11 AM UTC
I have previously stayed in Rota on Costa de La Luz and this time I am planning to stay in one of the above places - I am a big fan of the sea, beautiful beaches and nature.
After weighing up what seems to be less windy and less touristy but with a nice villagey atmosphere, I have been trying to find accommodation in Zahara but can't find any reasonably priced accommodation. I have found the following accommodation in Zahora but I can't find much information about what Zahora is like. http://www.villarenters.com/advert_summary.asp?ref Can anyone give me their thoughts please? Would prefer not too much wind, not too many people (I hear Canos de Meca is very beautiful but very busy), but would like to be able to walk to the beach and to restaurants/supermarket. Thanks in advance Amber |

I stayed at Zahara del los Atunes in June, but we rented a house in one of the newish urbanisations further along the beach. The village of Zahara is lovely, not too touristic yet (quiet while we were there) and full of fantastic restaurants. Don't forget to watch the sunset! There is a bar at the end of the beach which plays lovely music while the sun goes down!
It can be quite windy, the beach is very long and soft sand. Have fun!
