http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

You can take the local Italian trains. The website address is listed above.. Depending on what stations you go to it should be around 15 Euros one way on second class. 21 on first class.

Cheers

Is this train going directly from the airport to Florence or should I go to Bologna centre first?

I'm not too sure about that as i havent been to Bologna but i believe that most major Italian airports have a train station somewhere nearby. You can actually check out the website and have a look. Alternatively, look up the airport information of the airport you're landing at. They should have travelling directions to the nearest train station. then once u have the station name u can book the tickets using the trenitalia website.

I'll be in Italy too in about 6 weeks. Am travelling from Rome to a small town called castelraimondo, so i've found that trains are the cheapest form of travel. I'll be visiting Florence too so maybe when u're there u could recommend me some good places to see :)

cheers
