| Hakodate | 4pm- 9:30pm in Hakodate Posted: Tue June 12, 2007 02:15 AM UTC
Hello,
I'll reach Hakodate by JR from Sapporo at one 4pm, and leaving for Kyoto by Jr at 9:30pm. Do you think i can visit all the places i listed below? thanks. Hakodate 1. Seafood market in Hakodate Just next to Hakodate's JR station 2. Goryakaku park 3. Goryoukaku Tower There is a Goryoukaku tramway station. After getting down from the tram, take a walk for within 10 minutes. You will arrive there. 4. Beautiful nightview in Hakodate Go up Mt. Hakodate from ropeway station. 5. The harbor of Hakodate |

Hi
Very tight schedule... I will suggest you go to Goryokaku Tower first after arrive at JR Hakodate Station. No need to explore Goryokaku Park, it will take much times. You can see Goryokaku Park from Goryokaku Tower though :P Back to JR Hakodate for Hakodate Market about 18:00 for early dinner. But I am not sure if they still open as it is famous for morning market. Have nice and fresh "Kaisendon" in here. "Kaisendon" is a rice-bowl with seafood on top. Hakodate is famous for fresh cuttlefish. Than you can go to Mt. Hakodate. I think you need to take taxi to there if you really want to catch-up your train to Kyoto. I don't think you will have much time for Hakodate harbor anymore. Good Luck and have a nice trip. Rgds, Rita P.S. I wrote some about Hakodate, feel free to look at my page :)
