Hoi An Tailors in Hoi An
Posted: Fri June 8, 2007 05:35 PM UTC
Has anyone living in Hoi An or been to Hoi An have used either of the following tailors? Thinh Thanh and Thong Phi. They are both located on Le Loi street. The hotel recommended them and I didn't know if they and the tailors have any kind of agreement. I just wanted to see if any one had any dealing with the tailors before. Thanks.

Be aware of recommendation of a Hotel because they are working on commision. They get paid by bring custommers to tailorshops.
Just a little advice.

I have visit Hoi An many times since 1995 and I always come back to the same shop. The name of the shop is 22 Le Loi Street and that is (suprise, suprise!!!) also their address. They always do a good job and give you maximum service for a reasonable price. Not the most beautiful decorated shop in Hoi An but for sure the one with the most quality tailors work and I know that this is not always the case in other shops.
A well-decorated shop shall most of the time charge you a higher price for the same or sometimes even less quality. A big part of your payment is for the shop decoration, the higher rent for their shop or the bigger tax bill and that is not something you cannot enjoy back home

22 Le Loi is run by 2 sisters they are relax and certainly not pushy. The price they charge is all depending on the number of pieces you order.

If you planning to visit this shop make sure that you say hello from Hans, Yen and Kimberly from Holland and I'm sure that you will get the highest possible services.

Hi,

just walk several doors up Le Loi street to Ly Ly. We had great service and garments at good prices in April this year.

Regards,

David
