Brisbane Car hire from Brisbane Airport
Posted: Fri June 8, 2007 04:29 PM UTC
We hope to hire a car from Brisbane Airport, we are actually staying in Surfers Paradise. Has anyone use car hire from the airport and which was the best company with the best prices, also did anyone get better deals pre-booking. Thanks

Hello: I booked through Abel and Eurocar. Abel will lower their price if you can find another quote that is cheaper. They have a mileage charge - which I didn't want to pay, so I canceled my reservation. Abel came back with no mileage at a cheaper rate than I could get from anyone else. You might also try Eurocar, which I found reasonable. Kathleen

Current car rates start at about $40 a day for a small car and is cheaper for a week. Hertz and Budget are normally among the best prices and both at the airport.

Hiya. I would go with a reputable hire company rather than one that was cheaper - Hertz, Budget and Avis are all notable companies here. And always pay with your credit card because if there is a grievience with them at a later date and you feel that they have charged your card incorrectly, then you can always go through your Bank and get your money back.
Have fun!! Cheers, Ann :o)

I've recently used Abel, mainly because they had a depot which was a 10min walk from my office. The car was low mileage in good conditian ( Nissan Tiida). They don't have a depot at the airport but its very close and they will free shuttle. Watch out for the insurances. These can really mount up.

I'm from Brisbane and just heard on the radio an advertisment for www.VroomVroomVroom.com.au which compares Avis, Europcar, Hertz Thrifty etc....

They guarantee cheapest price too. Apparently they giving away holidays on 97.3FM this weekend but can't remember the details sorry.
