Viña del Mar Travel Forum

we are staying 5 days in Vina del Mar area in the minddle of February. I like to know: 1) if someone knows ofan apart hotel with a pool in Vina del Mar on the beach? 2) does anyone know the Playa Paraiso in Concon and how easy is it to get to Vina del Mar from Concon? 3) would renting a condo in Renaca (if I can find one) be a better option? Thank you very much for any suggestion

I don't really know about the hotels you're mentioning but one thing I know for sure: Viña del Mar is quite crowded during the summer months, specially February, so I'd recommend you to stay as close to the beach as possible. Reñaca is where everybody goes. It's like our Ipanema beach (but on chilean standards: cold water and darker sand). Con-Con is not that close, and it's more familiar. It's the same distance to go from downtown Viña to Reñaca than from Con-Con. The best thing to do, is to rent something in Reñaca itself, either a hotel room or an apartment near the beach.

Check out the Sheraton. It has an incredible pool! It is walking distance to Renaca Beach. I loved it there. Great views, rooms and service.

It's quite a walk to Reñaca, unless you're talking about some other Sheraton in Viña del Mar I haven't heard of.
