Hmmm..... I don't know what all is included in the citypass. There are a few things you can do after 4-5 pm, but many of the attractions you would want to see are typically only open during the daytime.
You would still be able to visit the aquarium for several hours. I believe the world of Coke (right next to the aquarium) would be closing shortly after that, however. You could possibly go out to Stone Mountain for the laser show if your dates are over the weekend. (haven't looked at the calendar yet to determine that.) Another possibility (and I'll look in just a second) would be to take in a Braves baseball game. They are playing here in Atlanta from the 18th to the 27th with the exception of the 21st, when they are off. The public transportation system in Atlanta is not that great. :-( The buses do go about everywhere, but the trains have a limited area that they go to.

Though the downtown area has/is undergoing a grand revitalization, it's still not too exciting after 6 p.m. There are some good restaurants a couple of blocks down Peachtree Street--Hard Rock Cafe, Little Azio (italian), Dailey's (has some live music, but very tame), Durango's Steakhouse. There is also a new Brazilian steakhouse across from Hard Rock, but haven't tried it yet.
Every Thursday night in June, Hard Rock has live music--http://www.hardrock.com/locations/cafes3/ca Also free music at Centennial Olympic Park (about 4 blocks away) http://www.centennialpark.com/events/calendar.html I'm not sure what the citypass is. Is it for Marta? The laser show at stone mountain was a good suggestion, but you can't get there without a car. (or if you can get there through Marta, I wouldn't recommend it)

this is the city pass thing.http://www.citypass.com/city/atlanta.html. a friend told me to go and visit the stone mountain but not to go to world of coke (a waste of money he said). And I forgot to ask earlier, how's the weather like? should i bring jacket?

The temperature has been very warm this month. You shouldn't need a jacket unless you are out late at night and you're used to extremely warm temperatures even in the middle of the night. The weather has been very nice lately. (we could use some rain, but other than that it has been very nice)

Yes, definitely no need for a jacket.
I didn't even know about the CityPass. I would add up the admission prices to what you're planning to visit to see if it's worth it. I'm not sure if you'll be able to visit some of those places if your only free time is in the evening. Okay...I just looked on the aquarium website and the admission price is $24--not $39.50 like the Citypass site says. And the citypass ticket includes a ticket to a little show which is specifically for children. The pass isn't looking like such a great deal... On a good note, if you do want to visit the aquarium, they are staying open late on Fridays this summer for something called Jazz Journeys. A new World of Coke just opened up next to the aquarium, so I don't know what it's like. The old one was mediocre--I wouldn't put it at the top of my list.(unless you're a big Coke fan). If you have your own transportation, I would definitely recommend Stone Mountain.
