For a first time traveler to Rwanda, is it safe to bring your own computer or would you be better off relying on paying for internet access? Also, what kind of electrical plug adapter would I need for recharging phone, computer?

We brought our own computer as we wanted to use it to store pictures. There was access to wireless internet in the hotel we stayed at in Kigali and I imagine many of the larger hotels have it.
