have had various opinions re: best beach- looking for calm water with gradual
water entry-no big dropoffs (recent knee injury Ideally sand vs. pebbles, almost a cove bay type layout. all the pictures look so good. my research led to messonghi but someone said no go to pelekas. anyone with knowledge please help, should be within40 minute cab ride from cruiseport and easy to get cab back for return . appreciated |

My advise, after visiting the island many times is to have a look at Kalami. A beautiful small natural bay. The beach is pebbles but all other things you mentioned are catereed for. A few local tavernas, vry unspoilt. Once discovered I am sure you would return again to this magical little bay. Take a look at Nikolas apartments, he also runs a local taverna in Agni Bay and the local tourist information at Kalami.Car journey is about 40 mins. Kalami is straight up the coast above Corfu town and looks out to Albania. Hope this is useful. Kazalown (England)
