| Naga City | Villa Caceres or Nagaland Hotel??? Posted: Mon June 4, 2007 06:51 PM UTC
Hi everyone! 'Would appreciate it if you could give me an idea which hotel is better...Villa Caceres or Nagaland (in terms of customer service, facilities, services offered, proximity to commercial establishments, access to public transportation, etc.). We will be staying in Naga City since we were not able to book a place in CWC. So, say if we're going to CWC, what hotel would be nearer?
One more question, (I know this has been raised in previous posts but I need further clarification). We will be coming from Legaspi Airport, what are the modes of transportation available to us from there? I've read about the availability of Filcabs... may I ask what are filcabs? Are they taxis? Thank you in advance for all your help. |

Hi, June,
Nagaland is the newer of the 2 hotels and is located in the Center of the City. There is a mall (e-Mall) right across the street. It is in a busy location but you will not have a hard time looking for places to eat. All of the fast food joints are walking distance from Nagaland. Villa Caceres is along the highway (I totally forgot the name) but is along the road heading to the Basilica. There are restaurants along that street, but walking at night might be a little difficult. I think FilCabs are shuttle vans? Why fly to Legaspi? Pili Airport is nearer to Naga City and Legaspi is about 2 hours away by land.

Hi joy, thank you for replying. Unfortunately, we will be flying via Cebu Pacific this time so we will be coming from the Legaspi Airport.
Based from your response, I'm thinking of going for the Nagaland hotel. Thanks again!

sorry i can't give a specific review on those places as i never stay in hotels when i'm in naga.
i think the new place to hang out at naga is the Avenue Mall - this is the same street at Villa Caceres, near the entrance to road leading to the Basilica. they have max's, coffee beanery, a chinese restaurant among others. have fun at CWC! <i haven't even been there hehehe> hope to see your pics posted on your page :)

there's a new hotel that opened right behind avenue mall. i'm not sure of the name though, but is owned by the mall owners as well.
