Side looking for a pleasant resort.
Posted: Sat June 2, 2007 12:27 PM UTC
I visited side ten years ago,and was impressed.but my stay was short. I have also visited Bodrum.marmaris.kusadasi.ect but they did not appeal to me too linger for long. Seljuk was nice- but dead nowdays since people stay in kusadasi and do day trips to Ephesus ect. same with Pamukale its a ghost town since the falls dried up.(does any one know why after thousands of years this happened in the last 30years) any way I am thinking of returning to Side for a long stay. are there any cheap pensions avbailable or is it now expensive? I had considered Alanya but I imagine it would be too much like the costa del sol. a sprawling city of endless apartments and affluent tourists.what are your views?

There is a good English proverb "The one who is bored of London is bored of Life"
If you are bored of Turkey you can go to London.

The falls are supposedly wet again but they dried up because of the spas and hotels on top taking the water, now been stopped. Side is tiny and a long way from some really good places it seems you haven't seen.Try Kalkan or places nearby lots to visit around the area.
