Yes, you are. If your luggage is extremely bulky, i.e. a drum set or something along that line, you may want to contact Deutsche Bahn first.

As long as you can carry the luggage by yourself this is no problem.

The trains stop at intermediate stops only for a short time (2 minutes or less). Thus you should be with your luggage in front of the doors before the train stops in Freiburg.
