Travel between Tiblisi and Yerevan

Hi,

Can anyone provide info on travelling from Tbilisi to Yerevan? Is there a day time bus, mini bus or train service? I plan to make a return journey along this route.

Hi,
Marshrutkas are quite convenient. You'll need to pay around $20, and spare 5-6 hours to get from Tbilisi to Yerevan.

..and am i correct in thinking that i can get an armenian visa at the border crossing? i have EU and US passports. Cost for say, ten-day visa/single-entry? and what currency does one need for visas? thanks richard

Hi Richard,

You can indeed. I was asked to pay in dollars (I can't remember how much exactly). I didn't have any dollars on me so I offered Euro. The official accepted this no doubt pleased that he could he could cream of the difference in the exchange rate.
