Tirana Travel Forum

I am arriving in Durres in the early morning from Bari and need to reach Skopje by same day/night. Is it possible to catch the bus (or other transportation) from Durres without going into Tirana? And the only information I can find about the bus from Tirana to Tetovo is that it runs only 6 days a week. Any approximate time when this bus leaves?
All advice is greatly appreciated.

There are two daily buses going to Skopje from Tirana, they depart at 9 Am and 9PM. I think they go via Durres but you have to ask when and where they stop in Durres.

The Polet bus I took from Tirana went via Durres. It picked a load of people up from outside a cafe down the beachfront. I couldn't tell you exactly where, but it was on the main road to the train station (we went past that twice but didn't stop at the bus station there). I think your best bet would be to ask at the tourist offices there and see if they can sell you a ticket for the Polet bus.
