| Zhangjiagang | Any expats living in Zhangjiagang? Posted: Thu May 31, 2007 01:12 PM UTC
Hi
My husband is considering a job in ZJG. Does anyone know are their any expats living there or does everyone commute from Suzhou, Wuxi? Wondering if it would be a nice place to live for us and our baby but not sure if it's a bit isolated? Any tips or feedback would be great and especially would love to hear from anyone living in ZJG. Thanks Georgina |

Hi Georgina,
I'm sorry I didn't catch your Q earlier. I've lived in ZJG for a little more than 1 year. Please see my VT travel pages on ZJG for a few details. There are several good places to live in ZJG. The city is clean, quiet, safe and relatively affluent. And yes...a bit boring. I moved my wife and 3 kids (5,7,9) from Changzhou and it was a dramatic improvement, but given the alternative, I think I would rather live in Suzhou or Wuxi. But the people here (foreigners & locals) are friendly and overall it's a good place to live. Please let me know if I can get you any additional info or answer specific questions. I'm happy to help. All the best. Kevin
