Getting from the airport

We are arriving at the end of Aug. Can anyone advise of the best way to get from Faro Airport to Alvor via bus or taxi etc? Car Hire could be an option also, although the mrs doesn't particularly trust me to drive abroad!

Any general chat on Alvor would also be good, re bars, restaurants etc

Check out Mourisco Bar for cocktails on the main street (Rua Dr Frederico R Mendes). On the beach check out 'The Luis' for a nice lunch and the Sol & Sombra (near by) for afternoon drinks with the mrs next to pretty turqoise blue sea.

Also, don't forget to visit Praia da Rocha (great looking beach, bars, disco, casino) & Portimao (riverside, cinemas, shopping).
