Hi,

Does anyone know the current price of cigarettes and rolling tobacco in Lanzarote please? Friend of mine going next week, he thought they sometimes put the prices up in the busy months.

I doubt they rise the price depending of the season. In Spain the price of tobacco is fixed by the govern. As you probably already know the canary islands have an special tax system, so it is much more cheaper than in "mainland" spain. So maybe some "rats" would try to take advantage of tourist...but I really doubt it. If your friend goes to a tobacco shop, he/she will get the legal price!

I've just return. Prices are from 1,8 to 3 something Euro. A bit higer in the cigarettes' machnines than in tobacco shops (but these shops are seldom) or markets.
