Im looking to spend a weekend in Rotterdam but can only get a flight to Amsterdam, I was looking to catch a train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam but dont know where to purchase tickets. Is there any websites I could check out for these?

You buy your ticket when your arrive at Schiphol Airport. Either from one of the ticket vending machines (which take credit cards, and are quite straightforward to use) or from the ticket window. You then take the next train to Rotterdam. There's one from the airport about every half hour.
you don't need to buy tickets in advance.

Trains for Rotterdam (direct trains) always depart from platform 1 or 2 at .15 and .45 past the hour.
At platform 4 departs the international train to Brussels at .42 past every hour. You can use this train too its about 5 min. quicker than the .45 normal direct train to Rotterdam. Tickets can be bought at the luggage claim areas at the vending machine or at the vending machines in the main hall. The train platforms are below the main hall.

Excuse me trains departing from the airport to Rotterdam are on 5 & 6 (instead of 1 & 2)
