If we arrive at 22:50pm or afterwards, is it possible for us to take public transport to the city centre ? or is there any hotel or hostel near the airport which we can stay for 1-2 nights ? thank you for any information.

Advice to stay in Miraflores and let the hotel/hostel arrange to meet you. The situation outside the arrivals hall can be chaotic, especially at that hour.
I always stay in Hotel Del Pilar. A hostal which seems to be ok is Hostal San Antonio Abad (according to friends of mine) as well as Hostal Samay Wasi. You may want to check my Lima and Peru pages on transportation.

Good advice. I would imagine taxis are there at any hour that there is a plane arriving as well.

A confortable and safe hotel near airport is Melodia Hotel in La Marina Avenue. Only 10 minutes.
