Tioman in October

I am planning on visiting Pulau Tioman in October and am wondering what the weather is like here at this time?
Is it still worth going at this time?

It's anything goes these days with the weather but traditionally, this is the start of the transition into the wet monsoon months....

Hi!

I was in Tioman early October 2005 and it was still OK to visit back then - weather was fine & the sea still not so rough. The monsoon normally start in November so early October should be OK to go to Tioman.

At the moment the monsoon has been dry these last three years so is not predictable.

the best thing for you to do is contact East Coast Backpackers in Mersing (http://www.sleepcheap.info/my/eastcoastbackpacker/default.asp) closer to the time as they will be able to give you local, on the ground advise. Yes I agree that early Oct is still fine. According to the below site, the monsoon season starts from late Oct.
