| Lahore | How Is The International School of Choueifat? Posted: Fri May 25, 2007 03:56 PM UTC
Hi Everyone,
I am currently living in the U.S and want to send my 3 year old son to a reputable school in Pakistan. I heard about The International School of Choueifat but I don't know too much about it. The school sent me some info re: registration but I have read some bad reviews about it---e.g some school teachers being fomer strippers and that they hire anyone with a foregin passport. That they do not hire qualified teachers because they will question the way the school teaches....so therefore, I don't know if this is all true or not but I need someone who honestly has been there or knows about the school to reply. I would really appreciate it as I am currently not going to enroll my son there. |

I don't know about the Choueifat schools in Lahore, but here in the UAE Choueifat schools are considered to be really good. I have a couple of friends in Dubai and in Ras al Khaimah whose kids study at Choueifat and they are quite happy.

Imran: Yeah that sounds quite strange to me too. I don't think there's any truth to it, but you know how quick these kind of rumours develop.

Thank you for your replys: I don't know what to think (as far as the stripper/teacher thing) but your right...rumors are rumors...but at the same time they are hard to ignore...

Hi,
I used to work at Choueifat! From 1998-2000. I'm an American, there used to be a few of us working there, along with 2 women from Ireland. Today, no foreigners work there. Only locals. The entire teaching emphasis is learning what's in the books that are provided by the Choueifat [Sabis] system and testing testing testing. When I was there, no one was doing 'hands-on' teaching like we do here in the States. Very regimented. Not a lot of smiling by anyone. I have never heard about the hiring of hookers. I definitely would know, because a friend of mine is still working there. Personally, I wouldn't send my child there. If you want a Western-style or American-style type of education for your son, send him to the American School. I'm sure there are other ones there...I can find out for you if you want.

My question is why do you want send your 3 yrs old kid to pakistan, There would be many Muslim/pakistan community schools in USA, but you want to make him American style , you can admit him any maerican school, but its alwasy good to keep the kid before your eyes.

Sawasdee Krup,
I don't think that there's any school or institution in Pakistan, which'll accept these people. Greetings from Bangkok. Imran Schah Mountains of Pakistan http://www.flickr.com/photos/imranthetrekker/
