| Bermuda | Bermuda in July + Looking for Hotel Recommendation Posted: Wed May 23, 2007 03:47 PM UTC
Hi!
I am planning to visit Bermuda at the end of July. I know it's pretty hot at this time of year. Is it bearable? Also, I would like to stay somewhere not far from Hamilton (me and my wife like to be close to the city). What relatively inexpensive hotels would you recommend that are within a short taxi ride to Hamilton? I understand that pries in Bermuda are pretty high. I am looking for a 3-4 star hotel near or on the beach that is not outrageously expensive (within $180/night). Thanks! |

Hi; You could try this link http://www.bermudatourism.com/index.aspx
It is Bermuda tourism site, click on accomadations and look through the list. You probably want something on the south shore if you want to be 'on' the beach. These are a short ride from Hamilton but you might want to try the public transportation. You can buy passes good for 1 or more days and then you can get on or off as many buses as you wish as well as the ferries, a good deal. Another place to look is http://www.experiencebermuda.com/lodging/ We visit Bermuda in the off season so can not tell you about temperature in July but if you go to http://www.bermudashorts.bm/ and click on weather information on top of page I believe you can search out past history of weather to give you an idea. Also lots of other info on that site. We usually stay at Grotto Bay but it might not suit if you want a realllly biggg beach on the open ocean. There are lots of beaches that do not have hotels on them or even near them and there are lots of bed and breakfasts with great locations too. You can get some more info about Grotto Bay from my website on here. I know you will enjoy Bermuda where ever you end up staying
