If changing trains in Krasnoyarsk for the BAM, can anyone reccomend a nice spot to get off befóre Severobaikalsk to do some exploring in the Taiga. Camping spots and small villages would be good and desolation would also be good, but I'd also like to be within a six hour walk of civilization..; )

Taiga is not good place for walking. It is too dangerously. Somebody must be accompanying you.
