Kotor Wlak from Cruise Ship???
Posted: Mon May 21, 2007 06:20 PM UTC
We will be on a cruise that stops in Kotor for a few hours in October. Is the old town a walk from the port (i.e. 1 mile or less)? I have a suspicion it is.

Our ship, the Regent Seven Seas Navigator docked less than a 5 minute walk from from the Old Town two weeks ago. It is a small port and I doubt your ship will be a great distance away. Which ship will you be cruising on?

We will be on the Oceania line's Nautilis. Thanks for your info. As you may guess, we did research to reduce the number of cruise-sponsored tours. Sometimes they make sense and sometimes they are just ridiculous. Kotor is an example of the latter.

Kotor is a fairly new cruise port. It has a lovely old town. Do note that you may encounter women with small children begging and teenage boys selling fake watches. Though when we said NO, they didn't continue to pester us. I have heard good things about the Oceania ships. Hope you enjoy your cruise and that your weather is better than what we had last month..... many hot days in the low 100s.
