| Riyadh | Tuna Posted: Mon May 21, 2007 01:55 PM UTC
Hi
Does anyone know where I can buy fresh tuna. I know a lot of the supermarkets sell a much smaller, cheaper fish that they call tuna but I am looking for the real stuff - large fillets/steaks. Maybe there is a good fishmongers out there. In fact if anyone has found any good speciality shops in Riyadh I'd appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks for your help |

there is Fish Market (fishmongers) called 'souk shamal' translated 'souk north, they sell all sorts of fresh fish including tuna!
The easiest way to get there would be if you are on old airport road heading north (Exit 5), pass sahara mall traffic light, pass next junction (Mursalat) mobile fone market and then next junction turn left, drive another 100 yards and turn right, another 100 yds and the market is on your right. I think there is sign (but in arabic unfortunately, just follow the directions and you should find it. good luck
