I`m going to Vlissingen in june to visit my boyfriend. I`m planning to come a day earlier without him knowing it as a surprise. The thing is, I`ve never been at the trainstation, and I wonder if it is possible to walk from the station and to the Scheldestraat area? Is there any busses? Taxi? Grateful for all help I can get :)

You start at Stationsplein in Vlissingen and head towards Prins Hendrikweg for 33 yd.
Leave Stationsplein and turn right into Prins Hendrikweg. Stay on for 1060 yd
Leave Prins Hendrikweg and head straightforward onto Paul Krugerstraat. Stay on for 1161 yd.
Leave Paul Krugerstraat and turn left into Scheldestraat.

A much nicer walk is to go over the locks to the Prins Heinkade an walk along the dike and the windmill to the center of Vlissingen.

The Walstraat is a shopping street and you can go to the Scheldestraat from there via the Hellingbaan street.

Walking is just half an hour. There's a bus at the station, but you have all the time to walk.

A word of warning: There is some drug dealing at the Scheldestraat. Better only walk there during daytime. Use your common street sense!
