Do people use a water purifier with ceramic filter like the Katadyn Hiker in the Himalayas? Is it effective on its own or do you still need to add chlorine to the water?

HI
The answer is yes and yes .... and what I generally do is add a soluble Vitamin C tablet with orange or lemon flavour - works wonders !!! Am in Nepal for a month myself - just battling with the monsoon at the moment but it's SUCH a great country! Namaste Iris
