Hmm..im starting to think that im one of the very few that visits this forum :)

I need to find an apartment for rent in the city for about 4 months. Preferably near the university. Does anyone have any idea where to look?

Check here. OK, it's only in Swedish but you can maybe see where it says "studentlägenheter" and "studentbostäder" which are cheaper student flats, usually reasonably close to the university. The use the phone numbers below.

She's studying in Jönköping and commutes from Skövde today as far as I know. That must be very tiresome!

But you can't have a hard time renting out a flat in Stockholm!!! In fact, people here on VT ask for it regularly - there was a Spanish guy the other week but I think he solved his problem but before that there was an Australian. Advertise it in the Stockholm forum :-)

Yes, you're right! For a 9 am orientation class today, i had to wake up at 5.30 am! Geez...and i have to do the same for a 10 am class cos thats the only train at those times!

Go to the student union first, they usually can help you find an apartment.

I know your link was to the student union, I thought that she could visit the student union in person since she might have problem with their swedish homepage.

Another idea is the notice boards in the university, there's usually some apartments for hire there.
