The main CICC church (Cook Islands Christian Church) is in Avarua near the University of the South Pacific and just across from the Pare o Tane Palace.
There are other CICC churches in Titikaveka (southside of the island) and Ngatangiia (near Muri Beach). The Catholic Saint-Joseph Cathedral in Avarua has services in Maori and in English. It is located at the Ara Tapu (main street) on the westside of town. There is a church in walking distance from the Edgewater Resort (take the inland road direction north. The church is near the hospital.) There is another church in Arorangi. I went to mass at the St-Joseph’s cathedral. There were no personal testimonies but there was a lot of music and musicians, more so in the English service than in the Maori mass. If you rely on public transport, remember that on Sundays the hourly bus runs clockwise only.
