Equatorial Guinea Visa and Yellow Fever Vaccanation???
Posted: Tue May 15, 2007 04:53 PM UTC
I get conflicting reports. I know that US citizens DO NOT need a visa to visit Malabo, Equatorial Guinea; however, I can not get a straight answer about the yellow fever vaccanation thing. The embassy says that it is optional and the state department says that it is mandatory. I don't want to get to my airline and find out that I can not board. What is the rule for that country??? You do not need a Visa for a stay up to 90 days.

I've been to many places that require certain immunizations, but in all my travels, I have not once been asked when entering the country. I believe the requirement exists not because the place you are visiting cares if you get sick, but the US regulations are in place to protect infection of our home soil if you are to return with the illnesses.
