Re: Anyone have any feedback about the Centre International D'antibes French Language School? Posted: Fri August 8, 2008 05:33 PM UTC
Do not send your daughter to CIA. It is one of the worst schools imaginable. Despite the high tuition, classrooms are rundown and sweltering. There is so much noise from the hallway it is nearly impossible to hear the teacher, and if the door is closed, the inside temperature triples. Organization is terrible, management is completely unsympathetic to any problems one may have, and host families are definitely not screened. I had a nightmare of an experience with an abusive host family, as did many of my classmates. There is also a residence, but unless one wants to party 24-7 there will be little chance of sleep. The only redeeming quality about CIA is their quality professors, but unfortunately, every other aspect of this school is so terrible it is just not worth it to waste your money. If you do go to CIA and want to leave the classes or the homestay, there is no chance of a refund, in fact they will just tell you that all you can do is send them an email, and then they will never respond to it.
