The distance is little over 600 km on road, closer via coimbatore - chinnar - munnar.
2 nights and 3 days is ideal. The speed boating at Madupatty is good. Dont waste time at Chinnar & Marayoor, which you can see on your way via coimbatore. The climate is good, you get good weed at top station, which is another good place to visit beyond Madupatty. Have fun.

Blr to munnar
Best route: Blr> Selam> coimbatoor bypass (L&T) divertion to Udumalpet> Chinnar> Marayoor> Munnar Total distance: 538 Km Days need to spend: 2 to 3 days June?: going to pour cats and dogs, dangerous roads, landslides, thick fog Places to go: Rajamalai, topstation, chinnakkanal (Cape), Mattupetty, pothamedu Activities: hiking, paraglyding, jeep trekking, camping and staying over night on a tribal tree house in the forest Alchohol is costly, but if u r bringing from blr.. be very very careful abt two checkposts in kerala tamilnadu border (Chinnar) if u r lucky u could see a lot of elephants, bisons, dears, wild boars etc from strting of udumalpettu forests till marayoor have a nice trip
