| Reykjavík Region | Long lay-over on a Monday night. Anything to do? Posted: Sat May 12, 2007 10:17 PM UTC
Hello,
It looks like my travels will finally land me on the island of Iceland. I'll be there for a day or so in August so I'll be able to see touristy stuff then. However, on my return back from London I'll arrive in Iceland around 11PM on a Monday and my onward flight won't leave until 10AM the next morning (Tuesday). I'm trying to decide if I should just book a hotel and crash or if there's anything to do as far as nightlife that could keep me awake until I return to the airport. I won't be dragging any baggage around with me - so that helps. Plus, it will be very early in September. BTW - if it would be best to just get a room ..... any suggestions for places near the airport or at least easy to get transport? Just wondering. Thanks - Skull. |

You want take the bus into Reykjavik and check out any night life that is available. Friday and Saturday nights are the better nights to be. Things get started around 11 pm and go until 3pm. You can find some great conversation and good pubs.
