What is the best form of transportation betweeen Athens, Greece and Tbilisi, Georgia?
Would a Marshrulkas work for two of us? Is there an airline that flies from Athens to Tbilisi, round trip? What do you suggest? |

You can always Fly Turkish Airlines through Istanbul

I am planing a trip to Tbilisi and one otion I looked into was taking a train from Istanbul to Kars in turkey and than take abus to Georgia. This trip will take close to 37 hrs and add to it an overnight train from Butami to Tblisi, not to mention Athens-Istanbul you looking at a 3 day journey.
This won't be bad if it was a one way trip (I am thinking about it). the problem is you are going back see if there is a a ferry taking you all the way back to istanbul. You can post a question in Istanbul VT board asking about the ferry service. Any way few days ago I asked the board about trains from Istanbul to Tbilis and these are the response I got. http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-347873- Good luck
