Ko Phi Phi Don Travel Forum

I'm going to stay in Phi Phi for 4 days in June and have looked through all of the hotel tips but there seems to be so many options. I am looking for somewhere costing under 1000 baht, in a fairly central location, near the beach (but not necessarily on it), and a safety deposit box would be quite important. Can anyone recommend somewhere that they've stayed that might be suitable for me?

Hey Will,
There's so many nice places to stay on Phi Phi but I highly recommend Garden Home Bungalows. They used to be on the beach before the Tsunami but had to rebuild in a much nicer spot in my opinion. Surrounded by jungle! It's really close to walk to the beach anyway. You can get a single room for around 500 baht this time of year. The owners are Muslim so there is no alcohol in the rooms and they are very lovely people so if you're the type to party hard in your bungalow and make lots of noise while the locals are sleeping, go somewhere else.... maybe Koh Samui! :p

The owner's name is Bow and I can't go on enough about how lovely they are. They also have the best restaurant on the island. Have a great time, I was there in June last year and found it hard to leave.
