I WAS LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO PROPOSE WHILE I WAS IN KAUAI. HOPEFULLY SOME WHERE THAT WOULD MAKE A GREAT PICTURE. ALSO WAS WONDERING OPINIONS ON WHEN IN THE TRIP I SHOULD DO IT

hmm...depends...maybe at the TOP of the cliff...overlooking most everything in Kuai...or on the volcanic steps...just walk ahead a bit then turn back...

Your location is close to Princeville and a great place to propose would be at the most romantic restaurant, in my opinion, the Bali Hai at the Hanalei Bay Resort. Go for sunset, and sit before one the most spectacular views, overlooking Hanelei Bay. Dine there near the end of the trip and wait for dessert to propose, just in case the answer isn't what you want. Trust it is. Aloha.

Hey, travelgourmet, I need you to know that at first I thought your response was a little insesitive. But after thinking about it for awhile, I came around to your way of thinking on it.

After all, who wants to propose the first day there, get "No" for an answer, and then try to work through all of that tension to have a good time - together - for the remainder of the trip.

So your idea works best.

Hey Bluecollar, You had me worried thare for a moment. I thought out my reply before I posted it and I know that the best trips are ones that don't have pressure. Waiting to pop the question that will alter your life forever till near the end of a trip, seemed to me, the best way to have a great time without worry, no matter the answer. Who knows, waiting till the end of a trip in Hawaii, just may be the ticket to paradise.
