Hi.
I've just arrived in Riyadh and I'm going to live in Dammam. Does anyone knows which is the best mobile phone company in the kingdom? Many thanks. |

Hi,
I do agree with Dr.ash, I am using Nokia too. If you intend to stay long in the Kingdom do check the warranty. Some companies are better in terms of service than others. A good one is Al Haddad. Welcome to Saudi and best wishes. Leo

HI there!
Does your question pertains to the cellular phone brand or the mobile phone service provider? In anyway, if you're interested in knowing on what mobile phone brand is the best, it has already been answered above but if you're asking about the cellular phone service provider i think i would go for AL JAWAL or MOBily.

Not sure whether or not you are referring to the make of the mobile device or which network provider to connect to. In both cases it will depend on you as the end user.
If you require a mobile phone just to make calls, send sms and take pics, then most likely you should go for a Nokia. Nokia offers the most simple of mobile operating system and therefore are very easy to use & at the same time they are also very stylish. If how ever you require a pocket pc, then there are other phones which yous hould consider as well as the Nokia 900 series. Look at the imate series as well as O2 & the Ericson 900 series. There are pocket pc's which are not your usual household brand names, but offer a very complete product. As for wchich network to subscribe, again it will depend on your usage. I would always go for AlJawal (STC) as appose to Mobily purely as the STC network infrastructure is complete, while Mobily is still expanding it's network. If most of your usage is going to be international calls, then Mobily may offer better rates and better off-peaks times for the country which you are calling. To counter that STC land lines does offer 25% discount for 5 international numbers. Choices choices... J

Dammam is very nice,i lived there for about 5 years. and i think that:
Nokia is the best mobile phone there. and if you want to pay a bill every month then choose mobily. but if you want to charge then choose al-jawwal. Hope i helped!!!
